Job Summary:

The Maintenance Associate will:

Under the direction of the General Manager, ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the Mission’s facilities and properties. The Maintenance Associate will proactively address facility and equipment needs, perform repairs and maintenance, and support overall Mission operations.

Maintenance Duties:

  • Monitor the general condition of Mission buildings, properties, and equipment to ensure high-quality appearance and performance.
  • Evaluate needs and make repairs where qualified, including minor masonry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, gutters, painting (interior/exterior), and flooring.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, water heaters, and vehicles.
  • Maintain an activity log and follow an established routine for preventative maintenance of equipment and Mission properties.
  • Perform exterior maintenance tasks such as seeding, fertilization, spreading mulch, trimming shrubs, and general landscaping duties.
  • Ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Notify the General Manager of any facility concerns, equipment issues, or Mission Guests who did not check into the lodge for the evening.
  • Ensure lodging areas are in proper order after the departures or dismissals of Mission Guests.
Custodial Duties:

  • Operate the Mission’s vehicle to pick up and deliver materials related to property duties as needed.
  • Clean, sweep, and mop the restroom and common areas as required.
  • Respond to emergencies calmly and initiate appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Additional Duties:

  • Assist with inventory management and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Provide input and recommendations for long-term property and equipment maintenance plans.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and address any hazards or deficiencies.
